Deion Sanders | KEEP MAKING PLAYS

At a sales convention, Deion Sanders said, “My top plays happened in practice when nobody was looking when there were no cameras there. I practiced like I played so when I played, it would be practice.”

He then said, “If the light ain’t on you, keep making plays.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1 - What is your biggest takeaway?

2 - Do you play like you practice?

3 - How do you keep making plays when the light isn’t on you?

Chis Bosh | SUCCESS FROM FAILURE

In his Hall of Fame speech, NBA champion Chris Bosh said, “Legends are defined by their success; legends are defined by their failures. Bosh said, “When you look back on my career, it’s going to seem inevitable that I ended up here. But as I have been reflecting on my career, I’ve realized that my accomplishments were anything but guaranteed. The highs I’ve experienced were only possible by how I bounced back from the lows; from the moments when I wondered if it was worth it, or if I was wasting my time, or good enough, or the moments when I feared I would never grow into the person or player I knew I would become.”

We aren’t automatically destined for greatness. Our successes come from how we bounce back from our failures.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1 - What is your biggest takeaway from the video?

2 - Do you think legends are defined by their success or their failures? 3 - What is one thing you have learned or can learn from failures?

4 - How can this message relate to you in your life outside of sports?

NFL Hall of Famer was asked if he was ever a selfish player. Deion said, “I don’t know what selfish is when it's a team sport.” He said, “It wasn’t about me, but the better I did, the better WE were. The better you are, the better it's going to be for your team and your family. You have to do your thing! I have to do my job to make it easier for everybody else.”

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
