Squeeze the Juice | Mamba Mondays

We get one shot at being an athlete. At the end of your journey, what will you miss, and how do you hope people remember you?

Kobe Bryant ended his career after scoring 60 points in his final game. After the game, Jim Gray spoke with Kobe. When asked what he would miss the most and how he wanted to be remembered.

Kobe said, "The process of it, the training of it, the preparing for games and preparing for the top players in the league. Coming together with my teammates and figuring out what the strategies are and seeing them maximize their potential. Those things are the things I'm going to miss the most."

He was then asked, "How do you want to be remembered?"

Kobe said, "I made a promise to myself that at the end of my career, I want people to think of me as a talented over-achiever; that I was blessed with talent but I worked as if I had none."
