“It isn't the mountains ahead that wear you out, it's the pebble in your shoe.” - Muhammad Ali

What is the one thing holding you back and keeping you from being who you want to be and know you can be?

Muhammad Ali once said, “It isn't the mountains ahead that wear you out, it's the pebble in your shoe”.

There are mountains–big, serious mountains that are in our way, but we also allow small, avoidable obstacles that cause more trouble than they need to.

Have you ever tried running with a small rock in your shoe? It's so annoying that it will make you stop and take it out. What is the pebble in your shoe? What is the small, annoying, avoidable thing that is holding you back and making you stop?

I have two pebbles: Negative energy from others and social media. When someone around me has negative energy or a bad attitude, it stops me and affects my energy, and I am working to overcome that.

And, I do a lot of my work on my phone, but every time I pick it up, I have a strong urge to get on social media, creating a distraction that is hard for me to break away from.

I am learning how to spot the pebbles in my shoes, or the distractions in my life, and how to stop, take them out, and keep going, but I am also learning how to proactively remove them before I start by naming them, thinking about them, and thinking about how I can avoid them.

Question of the Day: What are the pebbles in your shoes that are distracting you, and what can you to do prevent them from stopping you?
