Emmanuel Acho | Why People Fail

Former NFL athlete Emmanuel Acho was asked, "What message would you put on a billboard for the world to see?"

He thought about it and then said:

"The reason most people fail is because they give up what they want most for what they want now. People don't fail because they aren't talented or skilled."

He then said he liked the quote, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

Coach Buzz Williams | Your Big Rocks, Nos, and Yeses

Coach Buzz Williams is the head men's basketball coach at Texas A&M. He posts good content on X (Twitter) and is a good person to follow.

The video below is one he shared of him talking to his athletes about Big Rocks and making your nos and yeses easier.

As you go through life, you will be faced with all kinds of choices - some will help you and many will hurt you. When you know what to say no to, your yeses are easier.

Know what your Big Rocks are - the things that correlate to winning - so that it is easier to say yes and no to the things that matter.

Coach Buzz Williams | Transactional vs. Transformational

In the video below, Coach Williams explains the difference between being a transactional leader versus being a transformational leader.

When there is a transactional relationship, there is a finish line. Transformational relationships don't have a finish line - it's for life. Transformational relationships are so strong that they can bear the weight of the truth, while the truth is not the priority in transactional relationships because you are trying to check boxes, not help, develop, change, or grow.
