“Humility isn’t thinking less of ourselves, it’s thinking about ourselves less.” - C.S. Lewis

One of the most important characteristics someone can have is being coachable.

None of us are finished products, and there will always be opportunities for us to learn, grow, and get better, but we have to be coachable - humble enough to know we don’t know everything, and hungry enough to seek knowledge and information like it's a treasure.

British author C.S. Lewis said, “Humility isn’t thinking less of ourselves, it’s thinking about ourselves less.”

Humility isn't about having a low opinion of yourself, but rather about focusing less on your own self-importance and more on others and the bigger picture, like being coachable so that you can better help the team or group, or finding ways to get better.

Humble people seek excellence without letting their ego get in the way or dominate their thoughts and actions.

A great example of this is when Coach K took over the men’s national basketball team. He told them he wanted them to bring the egos that they have on their current basketball team and put them all under one ego umbrella.

He didn’t want any of them to think less of themselves, but for them to use what they have and what they do so that the group could benefit.

Be the best version of who you are, all the time, but don’t let your ego get in the way of growth and greatness.

Question of the Day: When is it hardest to be humble, and how can you overcome that challenge?
